Beltane

Happy May Day/Beltane!
Today marks the midway point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice… summer is almost upon us!
For me, the wisdom of this ancient Celtic festival comes from acknowledging the changes that are happening in nature and noticing those changes within our own lives. As the days become longer and warmer, I feel my energy levels increase. As the earth becomes more fertile and new life starts popping up around me, I start to see the fruits of my own labour, not only in my garden but within my business and the seeds that I began to sew earlier this year.

Next weekend Diane and I will be on Arran, making the final preparations for our retreat and in 7 weeks time the Summer Solstice will be here and we will be spending a wonderful weekend, making new friends and deepening both our yoga and mindfulness practices. There are still 2 spaces left for anyone who would like to join us.

6 weeks from now I will begin a new course of study, more Mindfulness but this time to help me to achieve my dream of sharing mindfulness with young people.

But let’s not skip ahead. Today I will be thankful for all that I have achieved so far and have faith that everything is as it should be and on course.

The customary way to celebrate Beltane is with a bonfire and dancing… I’m sure my neighbour’s would love that!! I think I might settle for a wee shimmy around the house with my son, listening to our family favourites playlist.

I hope everyone has a great day and that you enjoy the long weekend 😊🌻

I love this. It brings me joy remembering that summer is coming…even as it snows out my window. πŸ€—πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‚
